HI,

I just found this other tool after having found first DNABarcodeCompatibility

Could you please comment about this tool and my ticket present there https://github.com/comoto-pasteur-fr/DNABarcodeCompatibility/issues/5

Thanks in advance

Dear Stephane, glad to see you're interested in using DNABarcodeCompatibility and checkMyIndex. If I understand correctly, you would like the application stores a database with indexes that could be loaded by searching for their corresponding kit name (for instance)? Best regards, Hugo

Dear Hugo, Exactly, students or technicians would appreciate and could select the correct input depending on the library prep kit they have chosen and avoid taking wrong indexes. Additional custom lists (eg the Broad Institute gRNA screening indices in our case) could also be presented to the end user that would correspond to files stored in a dedicated folder and called by the file name min extension (or lists concatenated to one text file with a header hash-line containing name and reference of some kind like what GSEA does). I now this is some work but it would make the tool very smooth and reduce user error. Thanks in any way for your nice software!

Dear Stephane, thanks for your suggestion. I actually already thought about that when I started developing checkMyIndex but I was not comfortable enough with all the different kits proposed by the companies and I prefered to let this work to the end user. Moreover, it allows one to upload only a subset of the indexes present in the kit. I'll keep your request in mind and let you know if I can answer it positively. Best regards, Hugo
