Your account currently does not have a 2-factor authentication configured

Xebia is rolling out a policy that requires all users to have 2 factor authentication enabled on their account. Accounts that do not have 2 factor authentication enabled on their account will at some point be removed from our organizations and its forks.

To enable 2-factor-authentication on your GitHub account:

  1. Navigate to ⚙️ Settings and then Password and Authentication.
  2. Scroll down and click Enable 2-factor authentication.
  3. Use one of the preferred 2-factor-authentication methods:
    1. Passkey (1password or yubikey)
    2. GitHub Mobile app on your phone
    3. Security Key (Yubikey)
    4. Authenticator App
  4. Back-up your recovery codes using the View button to your 1Password vault or other secure storage.

[!WARNING] SMS/Text message based authentication is the least secure method supported by GitHub.

[!IMPORTANT] Make sure you have a back-up of your recovery codes.
