The PHI-base 5 website has recently started including two sets of parentheses around some allele type names, where there should only be one. For example, on the gene page for PHIG:256:
AvrStb6+ (wild_type) [Wild type product level] Z. tritici (IPO323)
Kin-Stb6 ((partial_amino_acid_deletion)) [Not assayed] T. aestivum (cv. Chinese Spring)
Here's what the correct format should look like:
AvrStb6+ (wild_type) [Wild type product level] Z. tritici (IPO323)
Kin-Stb6 (partial_amino_acid_deletion) [Not assayed] T. aestivum (cv. Chinese Spring)
