I think

PHIPO:0000974

Ontology | single_species_phenotype Term name | decreased unicellular population growth

should should be a descendant of viable population.

Need to add a comment on viable population along the lines" if you are describing increased hyphal growth pleas use blah (explanation why)

@ValWood Should all of these child terms also have parent 'viable population'? image

Does this mean that 'population viability phenotype' can only be used for unicellular organisms? This could cause a problem as our old high level PHI-base term 'lethal' corresponds to 'inviable population' and has been used to describe both unicellular and filamentous organisms where a mutant has resulted in a 'lethal' phenotype in all our PHI-base legacy data

Good point. It should be OK to use for any inviabe/viable population. The problem is with the growth terms. Maybe we need to look at this again. We just need to make sure that everything will make sense....
