Sorry I accidently closed the issue.

Here is the additional information you requested.

Hi Bjorn

I am hoping you can provide me with a vcl that will work in harmony with the pagecache extension.

We are using Apache webserver. Here is the response header:

This is the response header when I use the vcl from http://ideaspool.nl/varnish-3-configuration-file-for-magento-1-7

Everything is caching and loading extremly quick. But I am having back end admin panel issues where some of my third party extensions are not loading and i keep getting pushed back to the login screen.

Any update? Anyone?

Hi!

I need to see the original response header of the Apache, not the response header Varnish returns to the client!

Cheers, Björn

  1. I am currently using Ideaspool vcl will you require me to revert to the default vcl provided by the pagecache module?
  2. How do I get you the "original response header of the Apache"

Any update?

PHOENIX-MEDIA commented 10 years ago

Use the VCL provided in our module in order to make it work as expected. Please note that the free version of the module is provided "as is". If you need support please subscribe to the Enterprise Edition http://www.shareit.com/product.html?cart=1&productid=300449378&stylefrom=300449378 and we are happy to assist you during setup.

We actually did use the default.vcl and it is not caching pages. We have verified this several times. Are you certain the default.vcl does work?

Also I have left several messages to speak to someone at your company about moving to enterprise. But I have yet to hear back from anyone. We have several questions that need to be addressed prior to spending $1500 on a solution that may not work. We need to make your free version work first in order to assess it and then compare it to the several other extensions out there before making a educated decision on which one is best suited for our company. So far your extension is the only one that does not work. I have sent my contact information to you through your website.
