Rapid Application Development

Hi All.

I would like to hold a talk on rapid application development and framework which would help to achieve this. The aim is to demonstrate how the use of modern day frameworks such as laravel/lumen/slim(backend), vuejs(javascript) & bootstrap/bulma(css) can be used to illustrate an ideas. Another aim is show a streamlined way of getting the frontend up and running can be using bootstrap or bulma.

It would be great to be able to give a quick demonstration with a live coding session at the end of the talk. As I would be using cdn links and composer, I will probably need internet access.

Hi Kelvin, that sounds great!

A few questions:

• Duration - How long do you think you'd need?
• When can you do it? (Ideally 3rd Tues of the month - but we can accommodate anything)
• Are you open to being recorded? (audio/slides and maybe video - no pressure!)

Also, I could test out the links/composer bits to see if it's possible at Network Rail. Otherwise, it would have to be at Workforce.

Sorry for the delay Sean.

• My presentation shouldn't be any more than 15 minutes (Including live coding if possible).
• I can do this one of the Tuesday sessions if possible. I've just seen the lunchtime drop ins but still thinking a tuesday would be better (Maybe the one after the code review)?
• I'm happy to be recorded. Would be good to help build the archive.

Once I get the barebones of the presentation completed I'll send over a list.

Shall we say 15th Aug then? Assuming wifi won't be an issue. Are you able to connect to a projector via vga? if not, hdmi?

Aug 15th would be great. If WiFi is an issue I'll just use some screenshots instead. I have a VGA adapter which can be used.
