Spam Prevention - Akismet #581

It would be nice to have Akismet integration on fields where a user could try to post an link or promote their product/service/offer. Nothing turns away potential community members like spam. As Akismet works on "comment" style content, here's where I believe the feature can be most useful:

  1. Wall posts. Anyone can post anything and everyone can see what's there - perfect target for spammers.

  2. Forum Messages. Very similar to Wall posts.

  3. Messages / Mail. Just like our spammed-up inboxes.

  4. Group / Page / Event information. People will create "groups" just to post spam information.

As our community offers a free plan, we need some way to manage spam. Hope to see this feature soon.

So has this been dropped? We are at 4.8.2 now.
