Youtube videos get stuck in loading state after about half a minute

I think it's probably related to the updated Youtube UI.

The issue is not appearing when media-extended is set to iFrame mode but I can't take screenshots in iFrame mode

Replication:

• open a Youtube video (I'm logged into Youtube) with media extended in webpage mode
• video starts playing but after 10-30 seconds it gets stuck in a permanent loading state
• right when it gets stuck the play icon ▶️ appears and behind it a loading spinner displayed

could you check if watching the same video in browser popup (use login website command to open) stuck? if that's the case, it may be the issue youtube itself.

I have the same issue, I tried it with 3.2.3 and 3.24 versions and youtube videos get stuck it about 20 seconds. Also I tried with native controls and I get the same issue

3.2.4 version and videos pretty much get stuck instantly - they don't load.

I have the same problem, if I activate the "iframe" mode it works perfectly, but I can't see subtitles.

One detail, I had this problem in my edge browser, and I solved it with an extension called "user-agent switcher and manager" that makes YouTube believe that you are using Chrome, it may have nothing to do with this problem.

There is another plugin for watching media-notes videos that now work with this part of YouTube playback, you can see the method it uses to view it.
