Yesterday the plugin stopped working for no apparent reason, I didn’t install any new third-party plugins, I didn’t change the settings. The appearance of the window has changed and playback does not start. Screenshot attached. What to do?

+1, have exact same thing for a few weeks. Dont know a solution.

I confirm! Cannot use the plugin with youtube anymore.

Last time I remember it working was last friday... although now that I remember, it got frozen so I went straight to YT

YouTube frequently implements updates across various aspects of its UI design and advertising strategies, often to specific user segments, breaking existing hacks and making it challenging to consistently debug due to the lack of uniform updates. For instance, YouTube's new server-side ad insertion method integrates ads directly into video streams, making them more difficult for ad blockers to detect and block. I plan to include a browser extension to address this, but in the meantime, you can open YouTube links in an iframe by right-clicking on them.

OMG thanks for this fix, I moved all my videos to watch (hundreds) to Obsidian, and suddenly this amazing plugin stopped working, blocking all my YT workflow.

When I open YouTube links in an iframe and take the screenshot, it says screenshot is not support in this media. (I was able to insert screenshot for the same media before). Is it normal? Thanks.

yes iframe doesn't support screenshot
