Rewrite python packaging of the project
distutils is deprecated and will be removed in python 3.12 (
https://docs.python.org/3/library/distutils.html
). Use setuptools instead.
Add pyproject.toml.
setup.py is not recommanded by setuptools (
https://blog.ganssle.io/articles/2021/10/setup-py-deprecated.html
). The configurations are migrated to pyproject.toml.
Update MANIFEST.in. Include correct data files in package.
Update requirements.
Update installation guide.
