Normally, when a player is defeated in a dungeon, they lose their items and are forced to restart the dungeon from the beginning. A rescue mechanic can allow other players to rescue players, allowing them to continue their dungeon run without losing items or progress.
If a player requests to be rescued, the following conditions will be in place while the rescue request is active:
The Pokemon used in the failed dungeon run will be unavailable
All items used in the failed dungeon run will be unavailable/unusable/unsellable
The player will be unable to enter the failed dungeon
The player will be able to continue playing the game as normal with their remaining Pokemon/items
When another player accepts a rescue request, it will be treated as a standard mission. The player will need to reach the floor of the fainted player.
If the request is successful:
The player will give 1-3 of their items (at random) as a reward to the rescuing player
The dungeon will become available for the player. Upon entering, they will be given an option to continue or start new.
If the player chooses to start new, they will be given their items back and enter the dungeon normally.
If the player chooses to continue, the team will be updated to use the Pokemon in the initial dungeon run. Items in the player inventory will be sent to storage, and they will be given the items used in their initial dungeon run. The player will then enter the dungeon on the floor that they fainted. It will not count as a loss.
If the request fails, other players can attempt to perform the rescue. If the player cancels the request:
Their Pokemon will become available
They will lose half of the items used in the dungeon run; the rest will be given back
They will be able to enter the dungeon
A new mission board will be created specifically for player rescues. In addition, each rescue request will be given a numeric id, which can be given out while asking for help for quick access to the rescue mission. Acceptance of the mission will follow the same procedure as the current missions system.
After the player request to be rescued, will they warped back to their spawn point/debug map or a nearest town ? After they did so, the unusable pokemon and items will be sent back to the storage or just disappear from their bags till they are rescued ?
"The player will give 1-3 of their items (at random) as a reward to the rescuing player". Well if the random items are gems, globes or any other rare items then rip. Also maybe due to bad rng 1-3 random items could be plain seed. some sticks or some useless items. Maybe could they give someone who rescue them some cash ?
