7 years ago Creating codes for a domain. As represented in the SWAP database, birds can rep'd with 'AB', mammals are 'AM', and fish are 'AF'
- all the salamander ELCODEs in the ET begin with 'AAAA'
- all the snake ELCODEs in the ET begin with 'AAAB'
- all the snake ELCODEs in the ET begin with 'ARAD'
- all the turtle ELCODEs in the ET begin with 'ARAA'
- all the lizard ELCODEs in the ET begin with 'ARAC'
Invertebrates are tougher:
- rusty patched bumblebee begins with IIHYM
- amphipods begin with ICMAL
- tiger beetles begin with IICOL, but so do other beetles.
- grasshoppers begin with IIORT
- crayfish are ICMAL
- mussels are IMBIV
- spiders are ILARA
- sponges are IZSPN
- stoneflies may be IIPLE. confirm no other groups have this.
- zale moths are IILEY7P
- underwing moths are IILEY89
- tiger moths have two different groups of codes: IILEYN1 and IILEY2R
- caddisflies are IITRI
- noctuid moths are all over the place.
- flannel moths may be IILEQ
- mayflies tend to be IIEPH
- sphinx moths are IILEX0B
- silkworm moths may be IILEU
- springtails are IICLL
- dragonflies/damselflies are IIODO
issues
- there are both 'Invertebrate - Bees, Bumble' and 'Invertebrate - Bees' in the table. are these different?
- made a series of temporary names 'needed1 --> needed21' as placeholders.
Need to take the TaxaGroup values in lu_SGCN and apply these to the SGCN occurrence datasets.
