When we mask sensitive species in the Actions Table, what should happen?
The species is removed from the Actions Table and it doesn’t factor into the calculation of the AIS for a particular action category. This means that the AIS would be lower for a public user versus an agency user. There is also a potential issue that this deletes the action category if the sensitive species is the only SGCN/Action in that category.
The species is removed from the Actions Table, but this is done after the AIS is calculated. Public and Agency users would get the same AIS. There is also a potential issue that this deletes the action category if the sensitive species is the only SGCN/Action in that category.
The species remains in Actions table but is renamed “Sensitive Species” and AIS is calculated as normal. We have two potential sub-issues here:
a. The Action text may give away the id of the species (eg. “Implement Bog Turtle stuff”). We can easily solve this with a replacement of the Action text that reads something like “Action not displayed due to species sensitivity reasons”. However, this could create Issue b
b. I’m not even sure if this case exists but if we have the same action for a sensitive species and non-sensitive species, we would run into a conflict about masking the action.
