POSYDON is a next-generation single and binary-star population synthesis code incorporating full stellar structure and evolution modeling with the use of MESA.
We should consider if we want sub-synthetic populations (parsed, synthetic, intrinsic, observed, etc) to be traced back to their original population files.
Or if this is the user's job and responsibility.
