Can you provide an example blazon that demonstrates the problem?
Gules, on a bend engrailed or, a baston azure.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
That the baston laid along the bend. It goes right across.

What version of drawshield are you using?
2.3f.1

What browser and version where you using to view the shield? Does the
problem also occur on other browsers?
Safari, yes

Please provide any additional information below.
In general: a bend is frequently charged with various devices, and when charged
upon the upper part this should be noticed, because when a bend is simply
described as charged, it signifies it is so on the centre or fesse-point. All
charges placed upon a bend, in bend, or between cottices, must stand bendwise,
not perpendicularly. Even the furs follow this rule, although generally upright
on all other ordinaries. It can also bear such charges as magnet, mullet,
spear, wyvern, &c.
