Dynamic term request: Q5SZ99 #255

Hi,

Please upgrade this ID to be included in the official versions of PRO. It is a perfect match for the reference sequence of the mouse gene Trim38 at MGI, and has already been curated by Sylvain Poux at UniProt. He says "It is not yet integrated in the database but will be before next freeze. Primary accession is Q5SZ99."

Thanks,

-Karen

Hi Karen,

The term is now available. All mouse Swiss-Prot entries are automatically 'recruited' into PRO, but since this doesn't yet have that status I had to hand-make it using the human term as a template. It is likely that the synonyms will change, and possibly something else, once that happens.

[Term] id: PR:Q5SZ99 name: E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase TRIM38 (mouse) def: "An E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase TRIM38 that is encoded in the genome of mouse." Thanks Darren. I figured it would get automatically 'recruited' once it shows up in UniProt as a Swiss-Prot entry, but I wanted to make sure that link-outs from MGI to PRO would work properly if I can the PR:Q5SZ99 now so I don't have to remember to go back and put it in later.

Looks like the taxon intersection needs to be changed to mouse?

Yep, I caught that after I sent the update. I have a few other tweaks (to other terms) that I'm doing, then I'll go live with the changes. Sorry about that!
