transcription choices/guidelines and normalisation process #23

Open malamatenia opened 2 years ago

Following issue #22, our transcription norms should be conforming to the framework. This means

This way we will eventually be able to install ChocoMufin quality control (https://github.com/HTR-United/cremma-medieval/blob/main/.github/workflows/chocomufin.yml) in order to ensure that special characters are in accordance with the norms.

As for my part, I follow the cremma-medieval special characters for the most part and complement with mufi there where there I cannot find the equivalent character. Detailed explanation and table of special characters in the LaTeX doc.

And as for my part I followed the "Cremma-medieval" model proposed on Ariane Pinche's github page for the HTR-United project : https://github.com/HTR-United/cremma-medieval/blob/main/table.csv. Details will be found in the LaTeX document.

Where do we explain the choices we made that aren't related to the typographical choices? For instance, in order to be able to use the text for an eventual lemmatisation, I decided to separate words that were attached. I already wrote something that I could implement to the LateX document, just don't know where ^^

Thank you for the update Noé.

As for the transcription norms, cremma-medieval follows mufi as well, which is convenient for the quality control conducted by ChocoMufin (I will explain better and in a more detailed way its implementation to the project in another issue) so we are creating, at least in they, uniform transcriptions.

As per the second point, I would suggest under the "choices of transcription" rubrique in whatever order seems more relative to you.
