This PR brings updates to the installation documentation.

Hi Carsten, I would like to finish the review, but could you please tell me the workflow you are using to preview the documentation locally?

from simex root dir: cd Sources/doc make html

open browser, navigate to file:///.../Sources/doc/build/html
