The instrument simulation database (#55 ) requires that information about the beamline elements and corresponding simulation parameters are present in the simulation dataset. Our openpmd extensions must be extended to accomodate this data. The LUME project at LCLS has worked on this topic for years. Juncheng knows the details and is in close contact with them.
