Right now, it's not uncommon for people to claim they never knew about fast travel
I think one way we could solve this is to make that every time you reach a new area that you can fast travel to, the "map" button in the menu turns to a different color until you open it at least once (so it gets people's attention)
Either that, or a very obvious "fast travel unlocked" notification when they reach a new location
