Hey, thanks for making this. When I right click and try to segment download there is no cmd popping up and doing it's thing, the thing that pops up is a window asking to save a .dicks file. What am I doing wrong or is it that the project is outdated perhaps?

It still works, you're supposed to open the .dicks file with the companion app which converts the segments into a permanent local file.

I specified the .bat file as the program to open .dicks files, but nothing happens, or a cmd window opens and instantly closes. In your video example you get a cmd to open up when you right click within the window where the clip is playing and select an option to create a clip. When I do that however the browser just asks me to save a .dicks file, it does not open a cmd window. The dicks file is always tiny like 400 bytes.

In firefox settings under files and applications there is a selection of what to do with other filles, it gives two options save all other file types and ask wheter to open or save. I tried selecting the ask what to do instead of save, now nothing happens at all when I try to clip.

All the .bat does is call the .py with the argument, they both need to be in the same folder.

Just make sure you have python installed and it can be called from the cmd (aka it's set as environment variable). To make sure you can just drag and drop the .dicks file on top of the .py and it should work.
