GPP from two different methods was collated for Harvard, Willow Creek and Sylvania - Mean 5% & 95% Confidence limits are included for DT (day time) and NT (night time) partitioning methods. FLUXNET documentation is not clear on exactly the methods used.
So far (06/17/2016) I have only done any thing with Ameriflux Level 2 products.
Harvard, Willow Creek & Sylvania are contained within the Fluxnet 2015 release (FN15). This release contains and ensemble estimate of GPP and so could be used to define data uncertainty in GPP.
Howland is not available in FN15.
One strategy is to go with L2 Ameriflux for consistency. One strategy is to develop some sort of estimated uncertainty for Howland based on either Richardson et al 2009 or create an approximation based on FN15 uncertainty at the other sites. We believe that Howland will be added to the FN16 release which will happen later this year. I can ask Dario next month at Fluxcourse
