Caddy now has first-class support for these kinds of plugins, which changed this week: https://github.com/mholt/caddy/wiki/Writing-a-Plugin:-Cluster-Support

And they can be added to the Caddy website if you'd like.

Let me know how it goes! We can also link to it from the CertMagic repo when you're done.
