Note that the default icon set is also called Adwaita, and this doesn't make it easier to untangle it all, especially where to find the released SVG icons. For now, lets not use that name, only use GNOME.
In Inkscape, the sets resulting from here will look:
GNOME Icons [Actions Set]
GNOME Icons [Actions Extra Set] (note that extra here is unrelated to GNOME Extra Icons)
GNOME Icons [Apps Set]
GNOME Icons [Apps Extra Set] ( idem )
GNOME Icons [Categories Set]
GNOME Icons [Devices Set]
GNOME Icons [Emblems Set]
GNOME Icons [Mimetyes Set]
...
GNOME Dark Icons [... Set]
...
GNOME High Contrasts Icons [... Set]
...
If someone knows people at GNOME that have better understanding of how the SVG icons files are organised, please ask them to review this. (As reference only, the sources are at https://git.gnome.org/browse/gnome-themes-standard/tree/themes/HighContrast/icons/scalable and https://git.gnome.org/browse/adwaita-icon-theme/tree/src/fullcolor Note that https://git.gnome.org/browse/adwaita-icon-theme/tree/src/symbolic should be the one that is already supported, please double check)
