Please vote for and refine (when needed) the feature request for inkscape for adding symbols with bounding boxes in order to resize and align these more easily. See https://bugs.launchpad.net/inkscape/+bug/1666329 for this.

Sorry to create an issue for this here but it seems to be the most effective way to reach people that probably will endorse this feature request. Please close it when it has served its purpose.

As long as the issue is related to improve the Inkscape symbols dialog I think this issues are on topic but probably the better communication channels for this issue are inkscape-user mailing list and inkscape IRC.

If anyone is thinking of unwatching this repo because of this symbols related issues, please comment here.
