My current solution for such cases would be to make the booster part of the ASROC a vessel with its own weapon manager and sonar, like I did for my CAPTOR mine. A lot of the functionality of my mine was controlled by a KOS script, but I do not expect this to be strictly necessary for a working weapon.
If, instead of ASROC, you would accept a weapon more like Malafon, it might be possible to make the flying stage an "airplane" controlled by the AI pilot.
When carrying such a weapon on any launching vessel, be aware of #712 .

SUMMARY
I am working on to make ASROC with modular missile parts. It would be great if ther could be a torpedo part to work it underwater. Also, I couldn't get a parachute to cut off into the next stage. Is there a way to do it? The staging that I am planning on is: Boost Phase(SRB) -> Cruise Phase(LF) -> Parachute -> Torpedo -> BOOM
