Piglin duplication #4296

What behaviour is expected:

Cant duplicate items with piglins

What behaviour is observed:

can duplicate items with piglins

Steps/models to reproduce:

Quoted directly from a server member:

yeah of course, first you would go to the nether with a diamond sword, gold ingot, gold armor ,and the item you want to duplicate, then find a baby piglin, make him hold the item you want to duplicate,hit him once with the diamond sword, then drop a gold ingot, as soon as the piglin holds the gold ingot kill the piglin and you will have two of the item that u wanted to duplicate

Replicate without any plugins

can confirm it still happens on a server that looks like this:

Atlascoins is just a plugin that sends extra messages down a plugin messaging channel it does not mess with events at all

This is already patched. You're going to have to give more than your word when we have been unable to reproduce it since before it went big.

Reproduce without any plugins and datapacks whatsoever.

Just to make 100% sure there's no regression I've tested it on 185. It won't come as a surprise that out of 3 attempts to duplicate the items, 0 were successful.

Wouldn't be surprised if they just told you a method they saw a video of, but haven't tried it themselves. But that might mean that they are loyal and want such issues fixed, not that they exist on your server.

If in doubt, ask them to reproduce it under your supervision - so that you'll see it yourself.
