@me4502 is attempting to deploy a commit to the PaperMC Team on Vercel.
A member of the Team first needs to authorize it.
I don't really feel like this is needed anymore, we removed most of the jazz around the legacy download page and it's just provided as-is and both visually and functionally designed to discourage opening and relying on it; bar explaining our reasons for not supporting it, the article doesn't add much, and comes with the weirdness of linking to some off-site article. If someone goes there, they most likely are already set in not wanting to use latest
I don't think this is necessary nor that we should link to a third-party website that isn't related to PaperMC on our official website. This PR also just sounds like a way to improve your SEO ranking factor by backlinking.
It's not a way to improve my SEO rank factor given it's already linked on the site in multiple spots, including this exact spot on the current site. I was re-adding it in the same spot on the new site because it was added for the purpose of reducing questions/etc from people asking about old versions. One link disappearing from the Paper domain won't impact ranking, I was ensuring it remained for clarity reasons.
If we feel it is no longer required to provide clarity, I'm fine with it being removed
Edit: To confirm, I'm referring to clarity around why they won't get support & that there's no "special cases", not an attempt to convince them out of using old versions - that's the original reason it was added
Closing due to inactivity.
Re-adds the link to the article about why old versions can be a bad idea to use, as linked by the old version of the site
