Why in the world are you using 0.2? That's years old by now. Install one of the newer versions https://github.com/Paperback-iOS/app/releases

guess i forgot to change that part but I am using the newest public release

Record a video + screenshot your app version in settings

Problem started on iOS 15.4. I’m able to open books on my home page that are not saved and read them. It only crashes for saved books

Not sure if I can just throw my own comments in here, but this has been happening with me too. Not sure if it’s the same as Justin, but mine is happening on iPadOS 15.4. When I’m using Paperback on my iPhone (also updated to iOS 15.4) it’s running fine. Both iPad and iPhone are using Paperback 0.6.2, so I’m not too sure what’s causing it

I should've been more specific but I'm using iPadOS 15.4 also

This happens to me too on latest iPadOS but only in landscape mode. Doesn’t crash in portrait mode or on my iPhone.

Oh yeah, hadn’t tried that, but that’s the same here - doesn’t crash when in portrait on my iPad On 17 Mar 2022, 10:22 AM +1000, aarstar @.***>, wrote:

The issue is also occurring on v0.7-r19 after updating to iPadOS 15.4.

Can also confirm that it doesn't crash in portrait.

@moonpen if you're on 0.7, try enabling the new title view from settings > experimental settings and tell me if that fixes the crash.

moonpen commented 2 years ago

@FaizanDurrani Yep that seems to fix the issue.

chancez commented 2 years ago

I also had issues with an iPad Pro with iOS 15.4 and landscape view. Enabling the new experimental view fixed it.

FaizanDurrani commented 2 years ago

Fixed when using the reworked manga view in 0.7
