Re-introduce the feature to enable a dark overlay slider that’s present in the legacy reader.
How would it improve the App?
This feature enhances the user experience when reading in dark environments and helps to reduce eye strain and the flash bang effect that can occur when moving to a page that is mostly white.
For users, such as myself, who read before bed this feature has become invaluable.
Additional context
I’ve searched through v0.8’s reader and have not found any way to enable this, if I’ve missed something then please let me know.
I have no issues with the feature being buried in the reader settings, as for me this mostly stays enabled permanently, but a lightbulb icon or similar could be a good addition to the bottom bar for accessibility with either a pop-out menu or a press to toggle on/off and Force Touch to reveal the slider.
