system-logout icon #141

Right now this is a downward-pointing arrow in a green square. Would it be possible to make the arrow point towards the right instead? The downward arrow makes the icon look like the Package Manager icon, which also features a downwards-pointing arrow except that it's in a yellow square.

Same with the smaller monochrome logout icon that appears in (for instance) the whisker menu in XFCE. It is also a downward-pointing arrow. Could it be made as a right-pointing arrow instead, to avoid confusion?

Thank you for your quick work! Those are nice icons. That takes care of the issue in paragraph 1 of my 1st post.

This is the issue in paragraph 2 that is still outstanding: In the top right corner of the Whisker Menu, the logout/exit option uses your small monochrome icons and your small icon still shows as a downward-pointing arrow:

Could the arrow be flipped to point to the right instead? Or is it possible for the small icon for system-logout to also use the new circular icon you just made? Most grateful.

varlesh commented 7 years ago

It's not original logout icon. You can provide me sources or applet name?

asqwerth commented 7 years ago

I think that in your "apps" sub-folders for the different icon sizes, your "system-logout.svg" icon is now the new green circle with the horizontal arrow. But in your other sub-folders (e.g. "actions"), the system-logout.svg file is still the small downward-pointing arrow. Maybe all the downward arrows can be changed to horizontal arrow or a power on/off symbol?

I do not know which icon sub-folder XFCE Whisker Menu plugin is looking into to get the icon from. I will see if I can find out.

@asqwerth i'm replace this symlinks. It's worked for you?

varlesh commented 7 years ago

@asqwerth this icons need moved to folder "panel"

varlesh commented 7 years ago

@asqwerth I'm delete system icons from actions. Now will be use circle icons from apps. Please check

varlesh commented 7 years ago

icons not add to "panel" folder because already available on "apps"

asqwerth commented 7 years ago

I will test it when I get home later tonight and let you know how it goes. Thanks for taking the time to look into this!

Ok, i'm wait...

papirus-gtk works very nice. See example:

screenshot-light

But when I applied the papirus-gtk-dark icons, a lot of the old gnome set appeared:

screenshot-dark

Maybe you overlooked some symlinks in the dark icon theme?

varlesh commented 7 years ago

Last screen it's Papirus-Dark-GTK?

asqwerth commented 7 years ago

yes

varlesh commented 7 years ago

I'm now use Papirus-Dark-GTK on Ubuntu and not see problem: image You can show more screenshots?

asqwerth commented 7 years ago

Oops. My mistake. I changed the names of the main folder and index.theme file of your updated theme to papirus-gtk-new and papirus-gtk-dark-new, so they could co-exist with your older version, for comparison purposes.

This must have messed up your symlink paths.

Once I changed the file/folder names back, it worked.

This is papirus-gtk-dark:

Thank you very much. It has been sorted out. Sorry for the inconvenience.
