Recently I got the same issue #1494
Could you find and upload the following log file /var/log/apt/term.log
?
@SmartFinn Now when I think about it, it could be related to the upgrade method, because sometimes I use the terminal and sometimes I use the GUI update-manager, and today I've used that second method (which failed to restore custom colors). Next time I'll try to upgrade from the terminal and I'll let you know.
Here's the file: term.log
@vexillia @malysps thanks to both of you. I want to restore chronology of the updates.
That's interesting. Updating with Software Updater break papirus-folders script. I see two weak places, need to investigate it.
I found the bug, will be fixed asap.
That's great, thanks. I'll report here after the next upgrade how the process went. Cheers.
@SmartFinn Yup, seems fixed. I've updated papirus-icon-theme from the GUI just now and it restored my custom color properly.
End of the term.log looks like this:
(...)
Preparing to unpack .../papirus-icon-theme_20180929-2668+pkg19~ubuntu18.04.1_all.deb ...
Unpacking papirus-icon-theme (20180929-2668+pkg19~ubuntu18.04.1) over (20180926-2663+pkg19~ubuntu18.04.1) ...

papirus-folders: 'grey' color of the folders has been restored.

Closing :)
Hello, recent papirus-icon-theme upgrades from the PPA didn't restore my custom folder colors, I had to do it myself using proper commands (papirus-folders). I'm using "grey" folders on Papirus-Adapta-Nokto icon theme and after 2-3 recent updates it always changed them to default "cyan". Before it automatically restored my "grey" folders during/after the upgrade process.
Is it something wrong with the installer or is it something on my end?
