Wow, that was fast! I really like how the new weather icons turned out. However, I believe they will look even better in the system tray if they have smaller monochromatic versions for 16x16 and 24x24. So can you please make those at least matching the style of the already existing symbolic weather icons? Thanks for the awesome work!
on tray already used monochrome icons: But, need check all symlinks
Not all wind icons (some as symlinks), because not enough 16x16 pixels for that:
Works for me, as long as this prevents fallback icons to appear. Thank you for your kind work once again.
Papirus is lacking icons for specific sky conditions with wind. Currently, at least on my Plasma setup, the icons fall back to Breeze theme because it turns out that there are no symlinks or dedicated SVG files for those icons in Paprius' theme directory contents (mine is located at
/usr/share/icons
). As a result, they look out of place with the rest of the icons in my system tray. I use Materia for the Plasma theme in addition to Papirus since they're meant to work best together. It would be nice if they would be at least symlinked to existing icons, but I prefer that those icons should have their own designs.
Note to maintainers: I'm not sure if this can be considered as an icon request, but feel free to recategorize this issue as you see fit.
Here are the mentioned icons as shown in the KDE Frameworks-based icon picker. Unfortunately, I don't have a screenshot showing either one of those icons in the Plasma system tray and Weather Report widget/system tray item popout, but I will update this post accordingly the next time it appears.
The full names of the said icons as seen in the Qt-based Icon Theme Browser, shown here using the Breeze theme.
What they should look like with the Paprius theme, again screenshotted from Icon Theme Browser.
Finally, I would like to thank everyone who has worked on Paprius in making it into one of the best-looking and most complete icon themes available for Linux users.
