I hope this message find you all well. I am opening this issue to bring visibility to the difficulties this project may be experiencing at this time. I have noticed that work on this project has come to a slow, almost standstill in the last month. Initially I did not understand why this would be as this icon theme is still very popular (the default on a few distros, and explicitly installed on many more) until I looked at the user profiles of some of the recent, core contributors. With @SmartFinn being from Ukraine, and @igor-dyatlov and @varlesh being being from Russia I understand why this project has slowed down in the last month given the ongoing war in Ukraine and the sanctions imposed on Russia by the Western World.
If this reaches the team safely, please let us in the international free software community know what you may need from us in this difficult time.
