Side panel icons in Papirus only come at 16x16 sizes which is the default for Gnome's Nautilus and its forks. The default side panel icon size for Dolphin and Thunar is 22x22 and when you are using these file managers they do not use the right icons by default, you have to change the side panel icon size in the preferences to fix this. My issue with this solution is that the icons look a tad small for these file managers imo.
I think it would be a better alternative to have the side panel icons also at the 22x22 places directory but not using them by default, just give them an alternative name like the color naming scheme Papirus already uses. If the icons are already there the user could use the papirus-folders script to fix the icons for Dolphin and Thunar like he changes the colors, but this would only affect the 22x22 places folder. This way users could use the right side panel icons with the right size.
You know what. After some hours using the icons as 16x16 I realized they are the right size and they match the other elements of the icon theme that show up in the file manager, 22x22 would be too big.
