I think we should recycle vanilla NS of HoI4
This way, fascist and communist rebels will still probably rise up, instead of saying "well, it's 1936, let's forget about how s**t our country is".
How quickly does war exhaustion decay? Unless very high war exhaustion is something that will last for 17 years, it doesn't match up with how hoi4 base countries got that. Is it possible to check historic levels for war exhaustion?
I actually don't even know where war exhaustion is in Vic2, to be frank.
But I'm pretty sure that people were tired of the WWI for a couple decades at least.
Also, I don't know what such "war exhaustion" statistics would be irl.
I mean historic in the save game, not irl :)
Each country has a war_exhaustion
entry in a savefile, but I don't think there is an entry in the ledger.
It's hiding in the military screen. Goes up to. 50 IIRC, fades quickly.
I was working on implementing some of these, but on doing more research we'd need to tie them to focus changes. I'll have to defer it.
Converting from v2 to hoi4 made my frequent communist uprisings suddenly stop. Could maybe add event chains for political movements that would shift the country toward that ideology? Or perhaps something based on the trend of upper house changes in the final years of v2?
If not events, maybe a national spirit, with national foci to counter/support the movements?
