Book Data List & Template

Book-sharing is an important part of the ParentApp for Kids content structure. A data list is required to host book content. This will, at a minimum, include the following columns:

• book_id
• lesson_id (ie. the lesson_id for the module linked to the book, if applicable)
• title::eng
• page_1_text::eng
• page_1_asset
• page_1_guidance_a::eng
• page_1_guidance_b
• page_1_guidance_c
• ...up to page 10

Home Page Displays the book associated with the active module

Book Launch Page Is the first page of every selected book

Book Pages Contains the text + age-differentiated guidance as a pop-up from the facilitator

Final Book Page After the last text page in a book the final page is this animated slide. A parent point is added to the parent's profile.

Notes:

• Image of the facilitator will be set in a parent data list structure and apply to all instances of facilitator guidance throughout the app. For every app deployed, there will be 2 options for a facilitator: Male and Female. Users should receive the facilitator that matches their gender identity.
• Age categories should not be fixed. Add these as an editable sheet in the data list. I'm imagining a scenario where there is a standardised structure within the sheet for each book page that reads guidance.group.a, guidance.group.b, guidance.group.c and, in a separate sheet the definition of age ranges for groups a, b, and c are piped (e.g. row guidance.group.a, 1|2, guidance.group.b, 3|4|5, guidance.group.c, 6|7|8). This allows us to change the age range for each deployment without having to change the data list structure for the books.

I have made the necessary adjustments to the book data list and generated a corresponding sidekick doc. You can locate the Google doc in the "plh_kids_docs" folder.

It's worth mentioning that during the process, I came across some books that contain more than 10 images. I wanted to confirm if this aligns with the project requirements. Please advise if any adjustments are necessary.

I would suggest to insert extra columns to accommodate the books with more pages. We can then evaluate afterwards.
