Improvement Request: Paste menu suggestions #176

  1. Make paste menu organisation have consistency with the Clips Board:

Right now the only way to reorganise the paste menu is by clicking and holding on the side panel, this feels inconsistent with the behaviour of the Clips Board where you can organise it on the main panel.

  2. Make Duplicated Submenus Duplicate it's contents too
  3. Make deleting a submenu prompt to delete contents too

For me when I delete a submenu it's because I want to delete it and all it's contents, having to delete everything manually is cumbersome

  4. Allow a second click on the save button when adding a menu item to save the name.
  5. A simplified way to add to the bottom of a submenu.

This would be especially useful when adding to a menu with sub-menus as you cannot add below a sub-menu, only to inside it I suggest perhaps something like this image

  6. A way to add below submenus, not just within sub-menus
  7. A way to add multiple elements at once

Having it so that when when you enter Adding mode you aren't automatically removed from it after adding an Item would allow the user to add multiple entries at once. This could perhaps even be achieved with a hotkey of some kind, like holding shift when pressing save

  8. Allow dropping below Sub-menus in the side window of the paste menu when Sub-menus are open.

Right now there is no way to move something below a Sub-menu if that submenu is open, meaning that if you want to make the child of a sub-menu its next sibling the process is complicated as you have to remove it from the sub-menu, minimise the sub-menu then grad the former child down below it as it's sibling.

@CorvusUrro Thanks for suggesting many improvements. I'll look at some of them but not guarantee I can add all of them into the app. I think menu items management is good enough as is and it covers 90% of general use cases. Paste Menu management is not what you usually frequently use.
