Visual bug with wooden containers not displaying the item they are holding #18

Open ItsNoGood opened 1 month ago

I may try to reproduce later, but on a dedicated server my friend placed some containers and filled them with items, then when I logged in, they were rendered as if they were empty until I interacted them. After interacting with them they now display their item properly even after relogging.

Version?

ItsNoGood commented 1 month ago

Polyfactory 0.3.5 1.20.4, just managed to reproduce it by myself on a test server (using 2 clients in non-spawn chunks) Sorry if this was already fixed, let me try it with the latest Modrinth version and no other mods (running lithium and a couple others rn)

Edit: ah, 0.3.5 is the latest version for 1.20.4

Reproduced with no other mods (other than dependencies)

Steps: Start a fresh 1.20.4 server with Polyfactory and dependencies Login with client 1 tp 1000 blocks from spawn place down some wooden containers in multiple chunks, add a few stacks of items to each quickly log out Log in with client 2 tp to the same location you usually wont see any of the items displayed, though sometimes I do see them correctly and the split between ones that worked and didn't seems to always be at the chunk borders.

Edit: reproducible on only one client by relogging or unloading and reloading the chunk, perhaps the reason why they were working correctly for me after interacting with them on the server with my friend is because we have a vanilla chunk loader that works when anyone is online and so the chunks never got unloaded again.
