This PR aims to fix #146 by removing the imports complained about in checkstyle (I have built and run the project and ran checkstyle locally, this should fix all mentioned problems) and merging the master branches changes into it.\ \ I saw the PR and noticed the last commit was in august so I decided to attempt to fix the issues mentioned
