Summary

After beating the Eye of Cthulhu, Brom Hardy, the barkeep in Ravencrest, will ask the player to find some honey and bottle it up. After obtaining some, he realizes that he'd just have to ask you to do it again later, so he asks you see if you can set up a system for getting honey nice and easy.

Quest

Start: Brom thanks you for your patronage, then asks for a favor - a long-used cache of honey has been used up. So, he asks you to collect more if you know of any, saying he'll pay you kindly.

Next: Obtain 10 Bottled Honey Next: Return to Brom Hardy with the honey

He thanks you graciously, and gives you 5 gold coins for your troubles...then pauses. He realizes that this is a small amount of honey, and he'll need a way to consistently get honey when he needs it. He asks how you obtained the honey, and if it'd be possible to make it something he could do himself. He mentions that Alaric might be able to create something to this effect, as he is very talented when not trying to obliterate the surrounds...but to be careful.

Next: Talk to Alaric

Upon talking to Alaric and mentioning your goal, he cackles. He says he'd love to help you, but he needs some materials first. Get him at least 30 hive blocks, 2 bottles of honey, and a few stingers.

Next: Talk to Alaric and give him the materials

In a far too explosive short scene, Alaric makes a small, 1x1 tile mechanism that he says can and will funnel honey directly into the tavern at a reasonable rate. He also quickly mentions it's powered by "explosive magic" that is "awesome".

Next: Place down the Honey Harvester in honey Next: Talk to Brom

Brom thanks you, as he can already see his honey storage gaining some honey from...somewhere. He mentions it has a slightly crispy top, but that it's not an issue and he trusts...whatever...Alaric did to make it work. It's delicious either way!
