You need to equip a usable weapon and enable the buff in Configuration
Hello @PJacek it still doesn't show the correct amount of ES when you equip a usable weapon and enable the buff
This is the build you provided with random weapon equipped.
Ah that clears it up.
Then the issue is that It's confusing for the user to have to turn on the buff in Configuration and Skills.
There's no reason you wouldn't always have it on in Configuration.
Would also probably be a good idea for POB to stub in a default weapon or not require one so things like poe.ninja can work correctly when calculating the correct ES.
Hey @PJacek is there a reason why this bug is closed? The behavior of Energy Blade should be changed to where it's always active.
This would allow 3rd party sites to display correct values of ES for characters that utilize Energy Blade in their builds.
It's not a temporary buff, it's an aura.
Would it help to open a new issue?
None of these characters have the Energy Shield levels being displayed here, they should all be halved.
Rasmuki to poe.ninja dev said that he can't change anything on his end it's due to how POB calculates everything.
Thanks for understanding, fixing this would make browsing builds much easier.
Technically it is a buff like tempest shield but I still agree it should be changed to behave like tempest shield (enabling it grants the buff) I will look into changing this.

Fantastic thank you.

What is the expected behaviour/value?
Energy Blade causes your character to have 50% less Energy Shield, so if it is an active skill it should display the correct adjusted value.
This can seem like a trivial issue but it makes gearing/planning for the character extra complicated.
I wasn't sure if it was better to leave a comment on @PJacek 's #3580 or to create a bug report as I have here.
What is the actual behaviour/value?
Show 50% less ES
