Runecrafts really should be on the enchant menu not the normal add mod As for grouping them, this is done for instance on eldritch mods (on add implicit), but without runecrafts theres not enough variants of any type to really warrant the need (except maybe essences, but generally you know what essence your going for beforehand)
Yes, Runecraft as enchant or as a separate type might work.
I hate to disagree, but I really am not quick with which essence gives what mod, I have to open up poedb to look up what works and what doesn't.
I use PoB to look up if a weapon/armour I picked up now increases anything for my build, or I use the "Trade for these items" feature to find my next upgrade.
It would be even more so useful if I could sort the best mods in the "Add modifier" menu to craft the open mod or enchant.

No, but this would enhance how that currently hard to use drop-down menu
Describe the solution you'd like
Please split the craft types into their own dropdowns (prefix, suffix, runecraft) and group them (tiers of add # to # fire damage into one group like so)
It's a mess right now and very hard to figure out which craft is worth benching.
It would also be greatly helpful if the dropdown can be sorted based on combined, hit, full dps or name or more.

Currently, one have to type and compare items manually which is ngl a pain in the burr.
