I strongly suggest that "Downloads" in the top menu (navbar) on
pathwaycommons.org should not link directly to the latest PC2 downloads, but
instead, - to a new neat web page that would have the same style as the main
web site, introduction, and several links to various products/categories, such
as:
- pathwaycommons.org/archives
- PC2 downloads (current)
- and more (links to e.g. PCViz, ChEBI, Paxtools Pattern
downloads/releases/archives sites, Google Docs, etc...)

Idea: it would be much better and consistent with the rest if "Downloads" in
the top menu scrolls down to a new section on the main page (About), where
links to "archives" and PC2 "downloads", etc. are located and described!
Because pathwaycomons.org (site) is a single page rich HTML5 app, isn't it?

I second your idea about having a dedicated Downloads section on the About page
and direct users from there to wherever they want.
