It turned out that, among other things, cPath2 (PC2) web app logs and reports file download events also for files like this, which are downloaded (not frequently) from our somewhat hidden (link is here) intermediate/original data page. Do we really want to log and show in the drop-down list menu such events (without them, db would be smaller and )?
How about we'd count, in the log db, only BioPAX and other output format pathway data archives - listed on the downloads page?
If we want to log and show off all user actions, we have to collect and process all access logs form the production web/application server instead.
