Debugger hangs when using Remote Python Engine and viewing the Call Stack

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Use the Remote Python Engine
2. While viewing the Call Stack window
3. Step through code using debugger

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
It shouldn't hang. I have to kill pythonw.exe to get control back.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
1.9.9.7 on XP Pro

Please provide any additional information below.
If the Call Stack window is not active, it doesn't hang while I step
through the code. So I've gotten in the habit of peeking at the Call Stack,
then switching back to some other window before hitting the STEP OVER button.

I believe that another person filed the same issue for a previous version.
