Try loading html with an image specified as data and all that is displayed is a 
placeholder.

None of the events I tried were called. Is it a feature request, a bug or me 
being useless?

Currently HtmlViewer supports only base64 encoded data.

Can you post a complete example of such an URL-Encoded image?

I'll have a hunt and see if I can locate the email that brought it to my 
attention. It may take a while or not be possible if I deleted it. If I don't 
have the problem one I'll create something.

I can't find the original one, and am failing spectacularly to recreate one to 
demonstrate the issue. I've added a mail rule to notify me in case another 
turns up. In the meantime, since its obviously so common, I suggest ignoring it 
:).
