November 2023 Project Update (TypeScript Version)

November 2023 TypeScript Update

This pull request updates the project so that it is relevant in November 2023 since many changes have been introduced since the time it was written. Details listed below.

Changes:

• updates tsconfig.json by the latest Hardhat setup
• contracts optimized and written by the standards
• Ethers depenceny updated from version 5 to version 6
• updated all Hardhat plugins since they name-changed, @nomiclabs into @nomicfoundation, versions lifted, as well
• updated Typechain dependency, version 7 to version 8
• added missing dependencies
• removed unnecessary dependencies
• updated all scripts by the latest dependency versions
• added Solhint configuration
• everything tested; passes.

Thanks for this! It's pretty difficult for me to verify the changes since there are so many... Why did we update the solidity contracts?
