Originally reported on Google Code with ID 157

I am using the latest version of Windows 7 Home Premium, the latest version of Google
Chrome (18.0.1025.162) and the latest version of Tab-Organizer (4.3)

Summary:
Sometimes the name of a tab in Tab-Organizer is "Google" instead of for example "test
- Google Search" or "Chrome Web Store - Home" instead of "Chrome Web Store - Tab Organizer".
And this although the actual Chrome tabs have the correct name ("test - Google Search"
and "Chrome Web Store - Tab Organizer")

In the attached screenshots I captured 2 examples:
1) Google correct
2) Google wrong
3) Chrome Web Store wrong
4) Chrome Web Store correct

To try to reproduce this step by step set Tab Organizer to open in a separate window
and place it besides your browser window to be able to see them at the same time.
 - Load www.google.com or www.google.de, etc. The tab in Tab-Organizer is correctly
called "Google".
 - Then search for 'test'. Now it is correctly called "test - Google Search".
 - Then reload the tab. Now it is incorrectly called "Google".

A similar effect can be reproduced in the Chrome Web Store.
 - Load it (https://chrome.google.com/webstore). The tab in Tab-Organizer is correctly
called "Chrome Web Store - Home"
 - Now click on any subcategory. The problem is that the tab name does not change.
 - Then click on a different subcategory. Now the missing tab name from before is shown.
 - Then click on another different subcategory... The tab name is always one step behind...
 - (This works as well if you click on any extension or theme. Then click the related
tab to open a different extension or theme. Again, the tab name is always one step
behind...)
 - Reloading the tab sometimes results in the correct tab name but most of the time
it only shows it for a split second, and then displays the previous wrong name again.

 - If after the first reload the name didn't change to the correct name, reloading
it a second time will do so.

P.S.: On a different day I even managed to get an already correct tab name ("Chrome
Web Store - Tab Organizer") to change into "Chrome Web Store - Home" after reloading.

Notice however that the actual Chrome tabs have the correct name. It is only Tab-Organizer
that gets the wrong name (although Tab-Organizer shows the correct link when placing
the cursor above the tab in Tab-Organizer)

All the best from Germany.

And I want to add my deepest appreciation of the work you are doing and the very well
managed issue list. This is why I take the time to write this feedback.

This is probably a Chrome bug, but I'll try and look into it anyways, maybe I can work
around it.

Ah, I was too quick to call it a Chrome bug: looks like a bug in Platform not updating
the title properly. I should be able to fix this pretty easily.

Woah, nevermind, it IS a bug in Chrome... Chrome is feeding me false information. Unfortunately
that means I won't be able to fix it: they'll have to fix it on the Chrome side. I'll
go and see if a bug has already been filed about this.

Well, I didn't find any existing bugs, so I filed a new one. Now it's up to them to
fix it.

Thank you for filing the Chrome bug. I noticed that this wrong tab name also showed
up in Chrome History. You might want to add this additional info to your bug report
(if you think that it adds some useful additional information).
