Save Color Mode in User Account

Value Proposition

As a registered user and a family member,

I want my preferred color mode (e.g., light mode/dark mode) to be saved to my account,

so that my chosen theme is automatically applied whenever I log in.

Description

Acceptance Criteria

• When the user toggles the theme on their profile page, their preference should be saved to their account in the backend.
• The backend should store the selected theme mode (e.g., light or dark) associated with their user account.
• Upon logging in, the app should retrieve and automatically apply user's saved theme preference.
• The theme preference should persist across sessions, ensuring that user's chosen theme is always applied.
• After changing the theme, the user should receive a confirmation message indicating that their preference has been saved successfully.
• If there is an error in saving the preference, an appropriate error message should be displayed.

• [ ] create feature branch feature/save-mode-in-account
• [ ] add a new key value pair "mode" to the existing Member Schema
• [ ] implement the logic to save and retrieve the mode that user has selected
• [ ] adapt the backend to save and fetch the mode information from database
